Commuting 2+ hours to work?

I dont know where to put this some im just posting here. My company has a position open for a job im interested in the problem is its 2+ hours away but its at the site I wanted to transfer to anyway. Im currently looking for property down that way as well and im worried about missing the opportunity to get this position. Should I apply and possibly get it and possibly travel over 4 hours round trip daily until I find housing or just wait?

I took a job a half hour from my home town, and the drive got old. I moved within two years. If the job is worth it, and you can afford the gas and the vehicle maintenance, I would put up with the drive until I could move closer. It is all in what you want. The two hours can become tedious pretty quickly, so be prepared for it. Listen to some audio books to pass the time.

My current commute is a 30 min one but i was doing a 40 min commute for a bit too.

I think for me it would come down to whether the job is worth it as a career opportunity, and if it pays enough to make it worthwhile.

If you think you can handle it. I know I couldn't. I don't even like a half hour drive in to work. My concern would be more stuck w/ the 4 hour commute then missing a career opportunity (what happens if I can't find property down there or it takes much longer then I thought it would).
