I did this thing based on a Mayan calendar wheel and a cog I made from an actual gear. I wasn't really sure what to do with it, it was just a composite I did one Saturday just for fun.

Oh yea it's Photoshoped, ran the Mayan calendar through a filter. The gear in the middle is something I put together in Illustrator, some random line art I was using for something else.Is that in PS? That would take a steady hand to get it to look that consistent.

I took pictures of them with my phone, sorry, no other way. These where sketched free hand by a number 2 pencil, and a blending tool.Good representation. Unfortunately doesn't look like they scanned too well. Is that just graphite pencils?

Depends on many factors. Is the portrait in color or black and white? If what im drawing from, the reference is in color, its harder to distinguishe the shading.Great, how long do they take?
