I have the opportunity to work with my church as a community evangelist with the old people in the old people's home. I will be helping my vicar duncan with the communion and visiting the people in the home. I will also be visiting the old people not in the home the people who come to our early morning service and basically anyone who wants a visit. I will be setting up a bible study for an afternoon. Maximum hours is 10 hours a week. I will also be keeping my job at Tesco. Lichfield Diocese has given us a grant so my friend beckie who is another community evangelist for the children and myself will be getting paid. Part of doing this I will be doing an evening course on Evangelism and Outreach for a year, this starts on the 30th September which is also my birthday. As you can probably gather I am very very excited about this opportunity to reach out to people who know Jesus and to the people who are searching for him.
