Thank you. I did use watercolor paper. I decided to sketch with graphite on the watercolor paper. I thought it gave it a nice texture

It looks like the Bee brand water color pad we have used some. It is a good very inexpensive paper that can handle some water, but not as expensive as the all cotton variety (Bee has that too, though I prefer Arches).

I have several different brands of watercolor paper. I think this one was the Artist's Loft brand that Michaels carries. It's not as good as some others I've tried, but it is okay.

The colors really bring out the shadows and light on the paper bag. An interesting subject for a still life!

Technically, this is not all still life. But the caterpillar is mostly holding still, so I will post it!
