Muslims do not believe the Torah is corrupted. They just know the law of God and many of them do not understand the grace of God. Jesus taught that we are to treat others the way we want others to treat us. This involves a degree of grace compared to an "eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" that we see under the law. People need to realize: "if not for the grace of God there go I".
Jesus teaches this in the parable of tax collector and the Pharisee. "13
But the tax collector stood at a distance, unwilling even to lift up his eyes to heaven. Instead, he beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man, rather than the Pharisee, went home justified." (Luke18)
A young muslim girl could be sold into sex slavery. She could have a boy that was a product of rape. She may want to strap a bomb on that boy and use him as an instrument to kill the sinners. Rather than for him to go out and buy a wife and repeat the cycle all over again. The funny thing is they cover up so all you see are the eyes. Yet the eye is the mirror of the soul so you can see the anger and the hatred in the eyes rather than the love, mercy, grace and forgiveness.
Even in the Chinese culture I have seen movies that looks into a marriage for money & convenience compared to a marriage for love. Saint Valentine was said to represent a Christian marriage based on love that we think of as romance today. So people decide if they want to marry for love or money. The women's liberation movement was based on women that say it is better not to marry at all because a women does not need a man she can take care of herself. This reinforces the belief that you should marry for love or companionship or don't get married at all. Of course different cultures are going to have different variations on this.
