Comments on Brokeback Mountain

i'm not a fan of hoffman so i can't see myself buying that. that's more of a bio than a story that's built for controversy -- a film built to incite dialogue.

Yeah it was a joke. I am only 23 never married , have no children. I know it can be tough to tell sometimes on the internet, but I am a firm believer in the fact that if you preface a joke with an annuncement describing it as such it is less funny.

Although no movie could really convert someone, I could see a parent in denial blaming a film instead of facing reality. "He's a good kid, that film just has his head all mixed up, he'll come around".

Well.. I couldn't see Brokeback Mountain being the catalyst to make someone WANT to be gay..no riding off happily into the sunset there...

the movie does say being gay sucks -- too bad some people don't choose said lifestyle, it just is.
