  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Personally I think it is nothing but filth and a slap in the face of Christians who believe homosexuality is wrong in the eyes of God. Now close to 500,000 christians worked together to have the show Bok of Daniel removed from the air. I am asking you as Christians and believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to help boycott this video when it comes to stores across America. I would love to hear your comments on this movie.

There is no reason why you *have* to watch this movie and while you are entiltled to your opinion just as everyone on these forums is that does not mean you should just start a thread by trolling. trolling annoys everyone but the person who does it on a thread and it's so much worse when the thread is started with someone acting all offended about something for no good reason.
Brokeback mountain was *not* a slap in your face or any other christian, nor was it a slap in the face of other anti-homosexuals. There are Homosexuals in this world and while you may not think so they are just as capable of enjoying a good love story as you or I. This movie was based off a short story, which I have read and it was a wonderfully written creative peice, and it simply seemed like a good idea to the producers. Maybe they figured that the Homosexuals where a big enough group that they would make decent amounts of money from the movie. From my experience Money is usually the cause of most things the entertainment industry does, *not* Ticking off large groups of homophobes.
Sorry if I insulted you, but I just felt that this all needed to be said.

I just want to warn people that this movie is dangerous. My son got dragged to it by his girlfriend and its glamorous portrayal of the gay cowboy lifestyle converted him. He dumped his girlfriend and ran away to join the Gay Rodeo http://www.texasgayrodeo.org/

That made me laugh! XD!
Seriously if he was completly straight he wouldn't convert. He must of had doubts about his sexuality anyway XD! I see Hetrosexuality all the time and I haven't converted! XD! (I'm bisexual, but I prefer women...)
But was your post a joke? I'm kinda havin doubts XD cause it seems ridiculous XD

Yeah it was a joke. I am only 23 never married , have no children. I know it can be tough to tell sometimes on the internet, but I am a firm believer in the fact that if you preface a joke with an annuncement describing it as such it is less funny.

Although no movie could really convert someone, I could see a parent in denial blaming a film instead of facing reality. "He's a good kid, that film just has his head all mixed up, he'll come around".

Yea I could see parents blaming the film if they're in denial about their kid's sexual orientation as well
