  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The Bible Knowledge Commentary is an exposition of the Scriptures written and edited solely by Dallas Seminary faculty members. It is designed for pastors, laypersons, Bible teachers, serious Bible students, and others who want a comprehensive but brief and reliable commentary on the entire Bible.

This is a very ood one: also have Barnes, Clarke, Jamieson. Fausset, and Brown, Keil and Delitzsch OT, Mattew Henry,Wycliffe, and just added Calnin and the complete Spugeon's sermons. I have the Logos Bible Software system. You can add to it and there is a vast availablity in resourses. Being able to search the 500+ reference books in a few secs is great.

I don't have any...but I do have e-sword :)
Wow.. I'd never heard of e-sword, but after reading this thread I checked it out. I didn't realize so many of those things were in the public domain. Looks like an interesting tool with many resources to choose from.

E-Sword is a great free tool.

Anyone have MacArthur? How Reformed are his commentaries?

Based upon what I know of MacArthur's theology from his own words in other published books, I would expect his commentaries to embrace the Doctrines of Grace embodied in the Five Points, but to otherwise be solidly dispensational, especially in eschatology. He explicitly confirms his dispensational base in his book The Gospel According to the Apostles.
