  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Okay, so when it comes to science, I copy off someone's paper.

So what?
So... do you care if you're close to the truth or not?
What do you want me to do if someone asks me how deep the Mariana trench is? go down there myself?

Or is it okay with Internet ƨcientists if I just agree with them?
How do you decide with whom to agree? You can ask me if you like and I'll give you a figure for how deep it is, but I've never even seen the Pacific.

If I want real truth, I'll get it from the Bible, not science; which gives us facts-on-skates and calls it "observable, tested & tried evidence".
How do you decide with whom to agree?
I have a set of standards I go by -- want to see them?
You can ask me if you like and I'll give you a figure for how deep it is, but I've never even seen the Pacific.
LOL -- I take it you haven't seen my Mariana Trench thread?

And you're just diving straight back into "This is right because I think it is", which was the reason for my interjection in the first place.

It doesn't take a genius to see that confidence in one's opinion is not an indicator of correctness.
I have a set of standards I go by -- want to see them?
Nope, seen them. This is the pointless "agreement for agreement's sake" that I spoke about before.
LOL -- I take it you haven't seen my Mariana Trench thread?
Seen that too.

Do you think that I can give you an answer which you would be happy to believe is correct, beyond any reasonable doubt?
