Oh! OK! I was worrying about how you might react to the theme after buying it and wonder why I had not told you that it is based on a murder. I have never seen Pelican Brief, will look it up. That actor has this vacant look on his face that is perfect for the roles he plays. As soon as you see him the thought maniac comes to mind, LOL!

BTW
Out of Towners is a comedy a treat that is very unique.
La Strada is a bit somber.
Jesus of Nazareth is the best film about Jesus I have seen so far.

In one of the trailers it was mentioned that she got killed. But what was unfolding in the trailers is that this is a unique film, because of the different slant to it. Lots of layers to it.

And thanks, i'll check them out.

Back to the Theme of Titan

One of the amazing things about this distant world is that its geographical locations will drastically change over the span of months. Just recently a certain place seemed to have completely disappeared off the Titan surface and had scientists stumped. They found it again 45 miles from where it had previously been located. The theory that explains it is that the Titan crust sits atop water and ice which acts like a lubricant and causes that kind of drastic crustal shifting. .

Size Comparison

Actually, Titan was once believed to have been the largest moon in our solar system. But that was because they were measuring its bloated atmosphere.

Ring of Light

Dazzling Titan glows with a 360-degree sunset as light scatters through its very extended atmosphere. Some structure is visible in the hazes of the northern polar hood.

To the left is Janus (179 kilometers, 111 miles across), far off on the opposite side of the ringplane. The rings show their unlit side to Cassini, as the spacecraft viewed them from slightly above the ringplane.

A world with strikingly Earth-like physical processes, frigid Titan is Saturn's largest natural satellite, at 5,150 kilometers (3,200 miles) across. Titan's image is saturated at the 5 o'clock position.

The view was acquired in visible light with the Cassini spacecraft narrow-angle camera on June 2, 2006 at a distance of approximately 2.3 million kilometers (1.5 million miles) from Titan and at a Sun-Titan-spacecraft, or phase, angle of 163 degrees. Cassini was 3.7 million kilometers (2.3 million miles) from Janus. Image scale is 14 kilometers (9 miles) per pixel on Titan and 22 kilometers (14 miles) on Janus.

That title was taken over by Ganymede.

Seasonal change

Titan_s_changing_seasons.jpg
Such seasonal changes are caused by Jupiter's elliptical orbit around our sun which Titan is forced to deal with as Saturn's satellite. There is storm weather every fifteen years which contributes to the deposit of equatorial sand dunes. An increase and decrease of atmospheric haze. A formation and dissolving of clouds.

Due to the eccentricity of Saturn's orbit, Titan is about 12% closer to the sun during the southern hemisphere summer, making southern summers shorter but hotter than northern summers. This asymmetry may contribute to topological differences between the hemispheres - the northern hemisphere has many more hydrocarbon lakes.[9] Titan's lakes are largely placid, with few waves or ripples; however, Cassini has found evidence of increasing turbulence during the northern hemisphere summer, suggesting that surface winds may strengthen during certain times of the Titanian year.[10] Waves and ripples have also been seen by Cassini. Yes, it is a unique film and the visuals are exceedingly outstanding. Did you like Samson and Delilah?

Domes on the surface of Titan sound wonderful. Then perhaps we can terraform it ? How about that , anyone else think its a good idea ?

There are islands on the lakes of Titan that seem to appear sad suddenly disappear. Also geographical locations seem to shift by as much as forty-five miles within the span of months due to crust slippage. So since the terrain seems a bit weird in that way extreme care must be taken as to where one sets up a domed residence.
