  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Call or visit the college you're interested in attending. You could also probably find the requirements for the particular program you're interested in online. Look at any university that offers the degree you want to get an idea.

I'm a Psych major and plan on doing counseling. You need to find out what the basic classes are that you need and take those first (Math, science, history, english...etc) After that you need to find out what the core Psych classes are that you need. For me it's classes like General Psych, Lifespan Psych, Psych of Personality, Study of the family, Research Methods....etc. Some college have counseling courses but most major Universities only offer Psych classes. If you want to do Christian counseling you might want to consider a Christian University, otherwise you will find yourself very frustrated with the worldly teaching in the secular Psych classes, many are very liberal and off the wall IMO.

I'm a psych major too, and I want to be a christian counselor also. You'll probably just have to get your psych degree, and then get your masters, and where you get your masters you'll have to take more counseling classes.
