  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do you still buy manga/anime or do you do all of your reading/watching online?

I'm a big fan of having physical copies of stuff so I pretty much buy everything I really like. Unless I've never seen it before and it's on Netflix hahahaha.
It's kind of unfortunate though because this means I'm probably going to end up owning the entire collections of both the manga and anime of One Piece, among other things.
:dead:

So, how big is your collection and do you generally prefer anime or manga? Or does it depend on the series?

It's not big: I only have a few complete manga series (Buddha, Black Cat and Zombie Powder) and with my bday gifts from my mother, I've started some new series (albeit I've already read 2 of them to current chapters in scanlations): One Punch Man, Dragon Ball and Attack on Titan. I still need to continue Saiyuki and collect a vast amount of Bleach volume starting from...25 or so. And I want to get some other series started like Black Clover, My Hero Academia and Nurarihyon no Mago

My anime collection is esp. tiny by comparison and I'm even trying to sell some random stuff I've gotten in gift bags and the like. Complete Rurouni Kenshin, Scryed and some other boxsets like Mystical Ninja Goemon.

I still buy manga but I have to make sure that I REALLY want it and not to make some impulse decision and regret it later. My manga collection is slowly growing but not as much as it used to because I don't really like much of the manga at the bookstore.

As for anime, I could hardly call it a collection. I only have one anime on DVD (Angel Beats) and I've hardly ever watched it. I'm planning on getting another one though (Akira, my most favorite anime) because I just want to own it and watch it however many times I want to. I usually watch anime on the internet because it's easily available and I don't have to stay up at night just to watch one episode when it airs on TV.

Welcome to the One Piece club. I have over 60 volumes and counting. xD

I tend to buy physical copies of material I really enjoyed during its digital release, but more than that I wind up with stationary and mugs and household stuff based on it.
