I just get coffee out of a coffee pot, add sugar and creamer, and I'm good to go.
I keep seeing mention of "creamer" in various posts. Despite being a coffee addict in the world's centre for good coffee, 'creamer' is an unfamiliar product.

I looked it up. It's a powder sub for milk or (if you must) cream in coffee. We rarely use it. I think there's one brand available through supermarkets.

Why would you add some powdered artificial rubbish when you can use a shot of real milk?

Yuk, milk is no good in coffee. I use dry creamer. It is non dairy and it doesn't sour or get old or water down,, etc.

My household goes through milk rather fast, so having something specifically for coffee saves me some annoyance if we run out of milk. Also, it helps the coffee retain its heat (I like mine hot).

I don't like the sugar in it. Safeway is the only place I've found that has sugarless

I hate creamer and won't get it anywhere near my coffee. But I like half n half.
Coffee creamer is virtually unknown in Australia. I've been a coffee drinker for decades and wasn't aware it existed until just recently. I found Coffee Mate on the supermarket shelf but I know of no-one who uses it or even knows what it is.

We would never ever put cream in coffee and what you call half and half (a cream/milk mix?) is not a product you'll find here.

We also don't use filter coffee at home or in coffee shops or any eateries. In fact, American filter coffee has a bad reputation here. It's regarded as weak, watery and tasteless - something akin to dishwater. Coffee drinks sold in cafes etc. are made on commercial barista machines and good baristas (the people who make coffees) are prized employees. The machines use steam under pressure to extract the coffee from ground coffee and steam heat the milk used in Capuchinos, flat whites etc. The finished product is often a work of art with patterns worked into the frothy surface of the coffee by barista artisans.

We take our coffee very, very seriously (and you don't get free refills).
