  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I can't believe no one has posted in this yet! First question -- how did you become a Christian?
I came to God when I was 16, well, I should say - God came to me. I was an atheist before hand. Then I began the search of who God is, which took 7-8years. I came to Christ early this year, around April-May maybe? Forget now.

Basically I had spent years searching for truth in God and trying to find the path of righteousness, I wanted to be just in God's sight and approved. I turned to Judaism, and was going to convert as I connected greatly to the God of Abraham and believed in him. But I still felt something was missing. Then I began looking towards Christ more and more. One night I was "trying" to trust in Jesus, and fell asleep trying to put my faith in Christ and I woke up suddenly the next morning with a jolt and felt the Holy Spirit on me, felt his love and was comforted. It was a pretty powerful experience.
I've been following Christ since.

Now that is an amazing testimony right there!!

What is the best you've reading?
Best book I've ever read? I don't read much, but when I used to it was just young adult type stuff. So I'll go with Divergent. But I'm tellin' ya, read very few books to compare it to.

Christian stuff
What is your favorite Bible passage/verse? Book?
One of my favorite passages is Genesis 45:5. A couple of reasons for it actually, 1) because it gives me hope for when I suffer that the reasons have purpose and hopefully important purposes that can benefit others, 2)it shows Joseph's soul and character very closely in the ways of how humble he was towards the Lord but also showed how much he loved his brothers, his deep profound love for his brothers and instantaneous forgiveness he had for them. I'd also like to say that the story of Joseph in itself is one of my favorites, the whole thing really.

Favorite book is Genesis. Love the stories in it.

What is your favorite worship song and/or hymn?
Christmas song count? Silent Night. If not I've grown really fond of the song "Trust in you" by Lauren Daigle recently. Or Oceans by Hillsong United. I'm new to Christian music really, a lot of it I don't like/can't really connect to.

Besides Jesus, what three Biblical characters would you choose to have dinner with?

David, Paul, Lazarus (the man of suffering who was took to Abraham's bosom)

Who do you think wrote the book of Hebrews?
Haven't studied it enough to make a guess.

You stuff
What is your dream job?
Doctor probably.

If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?

America. Which state? Unsure. Somewhere where it's not too far south though.

What is the average air-speed velocity of a swallow?
All for our vantage. Then, in God's name, march:
True hope is swift, and flies with swallow's wings:
Kings it makes gods, and meaner creatures kings.

*(Googled Shakespeare and swallow, thought it'd make a cool answer... was not disappointed.)

What is your favorite childhood memory?
Went to a water park with my family when I was about 7/8. My parents forgot the sunscreen and we all got really really badly burnt, I'm talking blisters on our body burnt. Anyway at the end of the day we all go to a motel and we're crammed in 2 beds (me, my mom, my dad, my brother and my sister) with sunburns on us.

While it was uncomfortable, I remember looking around me and seeing my family and just recognizing I have a very loving family.

So I'm thankful for the memory, because it reminds me of how much my family loves each other, and it reminds me of the good times that we had, and how much I have to be thankful to God for.

Imperfect perfection.

Is there a skill you wished you always had but was never able to pick up?
Yes!! I want to learn how to play the piano and excel at it and I want to learn how to sing skillfully to accompany it.

I love music... I value it a lot. I just never learned how to play instruments and wasn't pushed in that direction when I was young.

Only thing about piano though is I have small weight lifter hands lol. But I'm sure I wouldn't have too big of an issue.

It's never too late to learn ;)
Skilled Piano playing isnt about the size of your hands but how willing you are to bend your fingers out of shape lol. I always loved it, but anyone I knew who played had some ET-looking fingers :p

What would be the first song you would master on piano?

Whats your fave thing to do in your spare time?
Hmm. I like to go for walks, just taking in nature - especially when it's warm/hot.

I like watching netflix for some down time at night too.

For some reason i just saw this... beautiful song though. Are you playing piano yet?
That song means so much to me for so many reasons lol.

No piano playing yet as I have no piano nor access to one. Buttttt I might be moving here in the next few months, and the people i'd be moving in with have a piano (or used to, i dont imagine they would have got rid of it)and I'd have a good amount of down time to learn something like this. So here's to hoping that works out.

Excellent. Until then, go buy a cheapo to practice on. Get your fingers used to moving that way and such. :)
