Ah I was about to post a thread that "the Smirking Covington kid wins!" until I saw this thread. The Native American guy is being sued too, he doesn't have much money so it mostly going to be symbolic.

Sandmann has provided a useful template for future instances of unreliable journalism, that’s for sure.
Not just unreliable, but deeply malignant journalism.

The alternative - allowing the lawsuit to proceed, going through discovery, perhaps eventually trial, would have been considerably more embarrassing to CNN.
I think I agree with all of this. And the CNN settlement raises the question of what will happen with the other lawsuits against Washington Post and all the rest.

I think anybody who sympathizes with Sandmann will really love what's coming.

The media shewed Trump when he made light of Greta, and yet the media did their best to ruin this kid's life. The celebrities jumped in next. Then the Media allowed Nathan Phillips to come on air and lie?

Remember at that point they had plenty of time to check out all the video to see what was what. Yet, they jump on this kid with no mercy.

They are hypocrites IMO.
