  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

^ yes but i like it like that it leaves the rest to the audience and plus the movie follows a camera of a group of ppl so it wouldn't make sense for the movie to tell you everything (you see whatever they saw and experienced)
Yes. They made the movie in a way so it was not possible to learn anything and I didnt like it.

Just got back from New York! The premier was awesome and got to hang with a couple of cast members.

I thought the movie was really well put together. Yeah it was jumpy, and yeah it ended leaving a lot of questions, but that's what they wanted it to do. When something traumatic happens unexpectedly it's going to be confusing and chaotic. I think that's why the movie starts with the military announcing it was footage they found, it shows they're keeping it as evidence to try and figure out what the heck that thing was. It's supposed to leave us with questions! So, in my opinion, it was great. Maybe it will lead to a sequel, maybe not. I think people will be talking about it for a long time though.

I think it was an amazing movie, one of the greatest I have seen in a while. It was funny and pretty intense to. I loved Hud, he was so funny.

"So our choices are die in here........die in the tunnels......or die in the streets right?"

"Yeah, pretty much."

Haha that was great, and it wasnt supposed to tell you alot, I loved it because it was so believable and fast paced. We knew what Hud and Rob and everyone knew. Thats all we were supposed to know. It should have a sequel, that would be great.

I was a bit dissapointed that big C wasn't the star but the Cloverfield monster wasn't half bad. Overall the movie is pretty awesome. A little too much drama and not enough running for your life in parts, but not enough to kill it.

Hud really adds alot to the movie. Maybe it's because I love Caboose from Red VS Blue, but I kept thinking "If Blood Gulch was ever attacked by a giant monster, and Caboose had a camera, you'd have Cloverfield."

You know there's going to be a sequal. Prolly on a larger scale and of the aftermath.
Wait an minute...Hud is caboose? If so thats awesome!

I guess I am the only person who did not like this moive. I was looking so forward to this movie. I am a big Godzilla fan and I was hoping this would fill in the spot for these kind of movies. I guess I will have to wait for 2014 for then to make a another Godzilla movie.

Saw this on a movie site....(SPOILER WARNING!!!)

"Did you see the thing in the last shot? In the final shot there's a little something, and I don't wanna say what it is. The final shot before the titles. The stuff at Coney Island, there's a little something there and I don't want to give it away 'cause the fun is sort of to find it, but I will say this: there's a funny thing, you look at the shot and until you see it you don't see it and you really don't see it and obviously you don't 'cause none of you have seen it, but once you see it you'll never stop seeing it."
Which raises an interesting question: Is a sequel that covers the same events -- albeit from a different perspective -- really a sequel? Discuss.

Is it bad that I actually wanted to see the monster? I could only see bits and pieces of it which was annoying. Other than that, I think I could watch it again...

I liked it. It totally put me in the "I'm in the movie" feeling that I love so much about well made movies. When I got in the car to drive away I was like "I need to get out of the city, the monster's in downtown Salt Lake ripping up the library and courthouse" lol.
