  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ok this is driving me crazy! I'm a petite person and I have no idea how to find maternity pants that will ever fit me. They are all either really big in the bottom/crotch area or they're just to big in general. I just don't know what I'm going to do. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a good place to buy maternity clothing that fits well?

I feel like this question was written for me. I am petite too :D

I had good luck with Gap maternity pants and Old Navy... Motherhood maternity pants never fit me. You can find Old Navy maternity in a lot of their stores these days, check for locations. You can just look at them online. The ones with a panel like this worked great for me: http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=5852&pid=391407

I'm 22 weeks and still only have one pair of pants that are maternity, they are XS. I was a size 2, 3 or 4 depending on the store so these maternity pants are horrible.

I'm wearing a larger size in ladies, getting low rise and wearing them under the belly on my hips.

So try larger sizes in regular womens in a petite and see if that works.

I'm tall so I found these cute pair of pants in a 8 Petite and wearing them under my belly like capris. Then just getting larger tops to cover the extra area which I'd do anyway to hide those panels.

I never found *any* maternity pants to fit.

So once my jeans wouldn't fasten under my belly anymore I had to change to tracksuit pants or maternity skirts. The skirts fit ok but I don't want to wear them around the house all the time...so for now I'm a bit limited in what I wear. Oh well, not much longer to go.

I'm only 4'11 so finding pants in general is tough but I usually get the altered. Now with the growing tummy issue it's become an even bigger battle.

Land's End isn't really my style of clothing but thanks for the suggestion though!

I think I'm going to try Old Navy next. I like wearing skirts and some dresses but I also love jeans a lot so I really need to find a good pair of jeans.

Any other suggestions would be great!

As a mother of three I have a few suggestions. I have always had the most luck at motherhood maternity, the comfortable route for the occasions like grocerie shopping loose fitting cotton pants I have gotten some xs from the gap outlet, or you could go buy some pants and take them to a seamstress and have them put the cotton belly in the pants if you do this suggestion you might want to get your hands on a pair of maternity pants to show them what it is you want. Good luck hope this helped in one way or another. I am posting this under my husbands name as he read about your situation.

Hi Everyone,
Chiming in on the whole clothes thing. I'm a "big" girl so I can't see myself wearing thight fitting tops but they do look cute on slim women. I usually just go for a comfy pair of jeans and a cute drapy shirt that's gathered at the top of the belly...don't know if you've seen them, they are very feminine and cute.

I don't think it looks good to wear spagetti strap tight shirts to church though. I saw someone wearing that last sunday and it didn't look very good. You could see everything!!!! Anyway, just my opinion.

Everyone find what makes you comfortable and enjoy your pregnancy!
