Evironmental politics are at their worst when they rely on poor people continuing to live miserably.
Very true...."saving the world" through means reminiscent of junk science and social darwinism where the weak who can't adapt to the solutions made by those in power for cleaning things up are either dismissed, ignored or outright killed..

In my opinion the prediction of the "Warriors of the Rainbow" sounds a lot like the outpouring of the Holy Spirit/ Ruach ha Kodesh that is written about in both the Jewish as well as in the Christian scriptures.

Thanks for sharing what you've done... We had low flush toilets installed and a drought resistant front yard replaced our grass lawn.. The City gave us a $2000. rebate...

A lot of people don't realize what a dangerous thing this California drought is. California is the biggest food producer in the world. If it loses it's capacity to produce the whole world starves.

If there are prayer meetings in California where they are praying for rain,
it may pull a few strings in the heavens if they took umbrellas with them.

You never know.

In one of the discussions that I was involved in online I was informed that a number of well financed plans had been put forward to desalinate ocean water on a large scale in order to supply fresh water to parts of California, Nevada and other dry states in that area.

All the plans were killed by influential people on the extreme political left who really should take another look at how far solar desalination has progressed....

I think that we are talking here about something far beyond economics.

Millions of lives are at stake if we don't get prepared for what is probably coming.

One of the major advantages to desalination technology is that every cubic meter of ocean water that is desalinated takes some of the pressure off oceans so that the overflow of New Orleans, parts of Florida, Bangladesh, The Nethernalds and many other areas is delayed.

Uh, Dennis just because you desalinate the water doesn't mean it won't eventually end up in the ocean. Yes, we use the water, but then it goes back again. If global warming continues the oceans will rise, there is no way around that.

True.......... but getting one cubic kilometer of water out of the oceans, desalinated, and added to the water table of any nation with a desert would be good news for the residents of New Orleans!

The delay would be at the minimum weeks but maybe even months or years before that same water makes its way back to the ocean.

Ya Think?!?

Yup.... we are talking about nothing less that the fulfillment of ancient prophecies.

"The desert and the parched land will be glad;
the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.
Like the crocus,2 it will burst into bloom;
it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy." (Isaiah 35:1)

...."Water will gush forth in the wilderness
and streams in the desert.
7 The burning sand will become a pool,
the thirsty ground bubbling springs.
In the haunts where jackals once lay,
grass and reeds and papyrus will grow."

That doesn't get it in the water table, Dennis. Water gets in the water table only by precipitation (rain and snow.)

On a side note, seeing how the world operates and what is going on is indeed unfortunate. Paying attention to your soil which other creatures irrigate (such as ants/moles for example) an in order for it to be healthy and you end up sacrificing your trees giving you air oxygen to breathe - thus meaning they go on strike/die along with the soil when we demean it and we lose our lives as payment for the debt we owned to the land. Take your world seriously..

The dirt on soil: Underground biodiversity holds key to ecosystems
AMERICA.ALJAZEERA.COM

"From dust you are and from dust you shall return" (Genesis 3:19 ) - amazing how much we forget to value the ground we were made from and walk on, even though neglecting it will harm us when seeing how the air we breath (from trees in the soil) and the water we drink (recycled via evaporation when it rains) are impacted by it. Glad to be in touch with what God made outside..

Additionally, as it concerns what's happening to the world today, what has been fascinating for me to learn of late is seeing all of the ways that the oceans are being polluted and yet that pollution actually will lead to our own destruction. What your news will not talk on when seeing these creatures go extinct who keep you alive - something that has been said for years by Marine Biologists

In addition to the environment being harmed, it's unfortunate to see our food supply impacted as well...as well as impacting the food supply of others by not caring for the world...

If God was not concerned about anything else but mankind, he would have simply made Adam and Eve in the Garden by themselves rather than taking extensive time to make the world/all the life within it as interconnected as it is BEFORE they got there ....and asked man to walk in care/tending of what He made. God is concerned and things dying out always lead to man dying. For you kill yourself recklessly destroying the trees/forests that give you air and the same goes for other creatures designed to keep other creatures in check which we help us in our own survival),

For things going on with the natural world (i.e. animals dying, plants ceasing to exist, etc.) are not what you'll see reported on often when it comes to news talking on wars/rumors of wars and the topics politicians generally speak on before elections - but the things done in the biological world impact us far more than we realize.

I have always been amazed at the many finding ways to take things as crucial as trees and make them a priority when it comes to the buildings we have.
