Cliches

What sort of things do you find to be cliched in anime/manga?


For instance, like when someone "accidentally" falls on someone else and then someone walks in on them and gets the wrong idea...

Like that kind of thing. I have some other cliches I'm thinking of that I see in a lot of anime, but I can't quite articulate it at the moment.

every question can automatically be answered with "hai"(yeah/yes) even if the question is several sentances long....

Raman Noodles and Curry are the spices of life that sustain everyone(Dual, Bomberman Jetterz, Digimon, etc)

there are others, but I have to leave for the day early..... I'm curious what others say...

the bad guy won't die. and when he does die he's either immortal or gets revived somehow.

the blonde main character in an orange jumpsuit powering up to defeat his black haired rival by means of using giant energy spheres that come out of their hands, yet never really winning

there's either two guys and a girl or two girls and a guy and the three of them are in a love triangle.

different individuals travel together for personal reasons always end up liking each other.

Anime heroes naming every attack they use and taking forever attacking the villains... while the villains just stand there.... and lose. >_<

two main characters are clearly canon yet it takes them the entire series before they finally admit their feelings for each other.

The voice.

You know the one, the one every single villain has. The one that sounds like they took acting lessons from William Shatner and punctuate every sentence with

"Hmmf. You know you can't win"

some kind of tournement where during the middle of it the main character misses out on one and is getting trained and comes back "Stronger" but still get s his but kicked untiill he/she gets soem kind of flashback and then they win.

And I don't know if this is cliche, but it really, really bugs me: the fact that whenever there are more that one people in the same scene, when one of those people talk, the other ones just stand there. Like, they won't move or anything. It's creepy. I mean, when someone else is talking, I at least change facial expressions, maybe move my head or arms a bit... Not just stand there, staring, as if I was some sort of statue. >_>

They often do that when they talk, too. They just... move their mouths... >_<

Person one will say something unexpected or loud and Persons 2+ will blink, pull their heads back alittle, and make that small gasping sound.

* Being late as the way to start a story
* The cartoon-y animal theme character
* The geek / smart person always wearing glasses
* The admirable, elegant older sister character
* Power attacks in messed-up English
* The main character's colour always being red or pink
* Main girl character always being a tomboy

...to name a few
