Classical Artists

I had never been a huge fan of classical music, but then about a month ago I watched Fantasia for the first time in many years, and that coupled with my discovery of Holst's The Planets, made me realized how freaking amazing alot of the music is. So I've kinda branched out a bit into that, and I'm wondering what artists yall like a lot.

The only two artists I really listen to are Andrea Bocelli (singer) and Andres Segovia (guitarist).

Chopin, Shostakovich, Mahler, Vivaldi. Not to mention Bach, Beethoven and Stravinsky.

My favorite artists are Alexa Still (flute), Jean-Pierre Rampal (flute), Emmanuel Pahud (flute), Vladimir Horowitz (piano), Yolanda Kondanassis (harp)

Thanks for the ideas, guys. I listened to some Segovia and liked it alot. I am probably going to look into Chopin, Mahler and Vivaldi in particular more into the future.

Anyway, on my way home from my soccer game this evening, I turned on the radio to NPR and heard an awesome song playing. My dad called in and asked what it was and it's Camille Saint-Saens' Symphony #3, popularly known as the Organ Symphony. Good stuff, in case you haven't heard it before.

I love Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Handel, Liszt, Chopin, and a lot of others.

I have "Fantasia" on VCR tape. That is a great place to start to finding out about classical music.

Mozart,I study..sleep and work to his music.Chopin for my pensive days....I prefer piano pieces by Chopin than anyone.He is the master for me there.
