I need some guidance. I am a Christian who rededicated their life to Christ in 2000. God has some wonderful works in my life in the last few years, but now I have a question.

I read about forgiveness of sin today in the New Believers bible. I know that no sin is too big to forgive, however please bear with me as my question is quite serious.

In reading about forgiveness I read that since sin is a deliberate act we cannot blame our sin on our society or environment, our mental or physical state. Romans 8:5 I also read that those who have sinful nature by thinking sinful things will not be free of sin. My question is this:

Forgiveness is a total faith act of Christ as he died on the cross for our sins. He nailed our sins to the cross and wiped the slate clean.

If one is struggling mentally then doesn't God see that this person is still the same person that loves him unconditionally?

If this person is not acting in sin, ie: promscuity, drinking, murder, smoking, porno, etc. They are serving God with all of their heart and soul but their mind is challenged, how does he view his child?

I do not feel without hope

Please help

I don't quite understand your question, but I'll try and answer anyways.

Christians still sin, but God no longer views Christians as sinners.

God is not in the business of rewarding or punishing Christians (on earth) based upon their sins or lack thereof.

Sin comes from the old nature, or who we were before we came to Christ. yes it is possible for Christians to fall away, but so much so that they can never be free? No. All sin comes from the heart, therefore all sin is a heart problem and cannot be blamed on any other. You need to not fight it as though it were a physical battle (even though it may seem like it is), and dig deeper into the Scriptures... Christ promised to help us through any sin, we just need to ask... So ask..

your question is very confusing but I think that when you are saved God simply sees Christ's sacrifice rather then your sin but you are still a sinner and comment sin on a daily basis no matter how blessed we are by God. He knows our sin no matter what and even if we chose to not admit it he knows.

in John Chpt. 4 Jesus talks to the samaritan at the well and he tries to get her to admit her sin but she changes the subject because it is not easy for us to ask forgiveness and admit we are sinners.

How does God feel towards His child...... You are the child that the Father has always wanted. He delights in you. You are the child He runs towards. I have a saying with my kids when we are cuddling up together on the sofa. I'll say "you make my heart sing". I want you to know that you make your Father's heart sing!

Your sin and my sin is evidence that we do not completely know how much the Father is absolutely in love with us. Our sin is the result of our insecurity. Our security is healed in the embrace of our Father. And that is exactly where Jesus places us. He has given us share in His relationship with His Father. The Father "feels" the same way about you as He does about Jesus. You are the child He has always wanted.

Well, I have to say that alot of those new Bibles twist words and sometimes even change the meanings! God loves everyone that knows about sin and tries not to do it and when they do it they ask for forgiveness. In other Words God loves people who might be sinning but don't even know it or can know it. Does that make any sense to you?

 Also, if you ever have any other questions or want to talk you can always pm (private message) me!

Hi there,

I can honestly tell you that noone here is not mentally challenged with sin. It's all around us. Remember, even Jesus was tempted. I do not believe that the verse designates that the people who think anything of the sins of the flesh are eternally ******. Read Romans 8:9-14. In vs 13, it plainly says that "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.". This, I believe, says that it is if you take those thoughts to the next level, and give your life over to sin and forsake God for the sake of sin, you will be condemned, but if you know that it is wrong, you will have eternal life. This also brings into account that if you know that it is wrong, and you are in Christ Jesus, you will be more likely to refuse the temptations of the flesh. Vs 14 says plainly, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.", and thankfully, by your concern, I can see that you have a relationship with the Living God, and as it says, you are a son of God, and you do not need to worry about those struggles. God is faithful to help you through your times when you are being tested, and going through trials. I hope this helps. You have because you ask in faith, so ask Him for help. He is so incredibly faithful.

God Bless
Karl
