Does anyone play Civilization III? That is one of the best sim games made, and I had some questions.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh I figured most of it out last night (playing forever...no sleep!).....man that game is fun. Hard though in a way...I am sure it will get easier in time, when I stick with a certain strategy.

I am still finding some of it hard to do, especially since I haven't played it since I was a kid (and I wasn't good then either). In particular, the Germans seem to be too hard to beat. Any suggestions?

I used to LOVE civ games! Kinda replaced 'civIII' with 'Hearts of Iron' myself though. The Germans are identical to every other group in civIII save for their two special abilities and one unit? Why trouble with them? The French in civIII have the best special setup, or I thought anyways.

i've just sold my civ3... it is a great game, but man, does it take a long time (at least i find it addicting 
) so after a few months of breathing it, i sold it! hehe
maybe i'll pick it up again when it is cheap
