Steven Gregory, an investigative reporter from Phoenix radio station KFYI, is currently embedded with the Minutemen for the month of April. Thus far, his radio reports have been most favorable. He paints the volunteers as average Joes who drove down to the border from all 50 states and Canada as well, just regular people on vacation who took time off from their jobs, Americans wanting to help in whatever way they can. They range in age from 16 to 78, and also include retired military, Viet Nam vets and law enforcement. Some live in campers and RVS, while others live in motels, hotels, and tents. "Nothing really suspicious," Steve says in his blog, "just people sitting in lawn chairs with binoculars."
