Correction, roughly 58% of newborns were circumcised in 2010 based on hospital discharge records (Source). And that's just non-medical circumcision performed in hospitals. It doesn't include medically necessary circumcision, or circumcision performed outside of a medical facility (as some Jews and Muslims do)50% .... that's horrifying.
You are saying that a procedure is butchering that you have never actually witnessed. I have witnessed numerous circumcisions, and know that it is not butchering.
And you are saying this having never even seen a real circumcision. You simply aren't as qualified. In my mind cutting off a piece of the penis is butchering. Especially when its actually quite a sensitize spot. It's not just a dead flap of skin..
butch·erAnd you are saying this having never even seen a real circumcision. You simply aren't as qualified.
circumcision doesn't ruin anything. everything remains in perfect working order.butch·er

circumcision doesn't ruin anything. everything remains in perfect working order.
It's so negligable as to be irrelevant. Circumcised men procreate just as much as everyone else.Yeah, you just lose some sensitivity in the penis..
It's so negligable as to be irrelevant. Circumcised men procreate just as much as everyone else.
From what I've studied, it is negligible. It's like taking 100 bucks from Howard Hughes. That's why men have no difficulty without it.No, it's not negligible. Are you even a guy? Are you even a guy who is uncut? I am. Believe me, the foreskin ain't negligible..
And I'm not talking about pro-creation. The penis is more than just that.

Look, I not recommending circumcision for every guy. If you don't want to circumcise your sons, then don't. As far as I'm concerned, it's a religious decision. I just get sick of people exaggerating what's going on.
So taking a perfectly healthy organ and cutting away part of it isn't mutilation? What would you call it?It's not mutilation. My goodness, haven't you ever witnessed a circumcision?
This is probably because you don't know the first thing about either. There is no comparison between male circumcision and female genital mutilation. apples and oranges.
Do you honestly think you need to see a real circumcision to know it's the cutting away of perfectly healthy skin? And you are saying this having never even seen a real circumcision. You simply aren't as qualified.
Skin? I chew off skin around my fingernails all the time, even causing it to bleed. It's not mutilation. So taking a perfectly healthy organ and cutting away part of it isn't mutilation? What would you call it?
As do women who have been circumcised. It's so negligable as to be irrelevant. Circumcised men procreate just as much as everyone else.
I think that seeing an actual circumcision would dispel any silly ideas that its butchering.Do you honestly think you need to see a real circumcision to know it's the cutting away of perfectly healthy skin?
You are cutting away the most sensitive part of a mans penis and you believe somehow this leaves it in perfectly working order.circumcision doesn't ruin anything. everything remains in perfect working order.
It sure seems to do the job.You are cutting away the most sensitive part of a mans penis and you believe somehow this leaves it in perfectly working order.
