  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Like, I'll disappear?

This indoctrination of the world is so thick and deep, they are not concerned about people, like me, who question the whole deal......

As you can see, I am mocked and ridiculed. I don't care. In the end I will not be shaking in my boots.

Remember the famous last words of head Satanist Anton LaVey:

"Something is very wrong, what have I done"

I just find it ironic that you dismiss all the real fossils (you know, the ones in museums and such) and blindly accept ridiculous frauds and misrepresented skulls of deformed humans as evidence of "giants" in the past. All backed up by conspiracy theories involving thousands of scientists all over the world, The Smithsonian Institute (and probably every other natural history museum in the world) and even the National Park Service. Then you claim you are more "open-minded."

I don't give a damn about Anton LeVey... although that quote sure sounds like a typical wife's tail (much like Darwin's supposed death-bed recanting of evolution).

And yet all you can do is present misinformation from creationist websites.

The reasons I know God is true and His word have nothing much to do with so called science. The record indicates that man, whom we know was here from the beginning by God's Own mouth, is not in the fossil record early on. God said Adam would return to dust not a fossil.

Last I checked, the Bible was not God. Also, you have shown no evidence that Genesis is an accurate, literal record.

Perhaps you can try again?

If you actually have evidence for aaaanyyyyy of the things you're suggesting, then why not go create a thread on the topic instead of derailing this one with more giant talk?

This is why i like forums like EvC. There, the moderators force things to stay on topic and request that people actually debate in a formal, reasonable manner. Plus, it's frequented by many experienced people, many of whom will give detailed and intelligent answers to any questions.

Creationists largely avoid sites like that, though. Shame.

Have you not noticed that any topic involving Creation vs Evolution all things are connected. You start talking about one thing and it is supported or refuted by this and, like a bowl of spaghetti, it's all connected.

No matter what theme you start with, it always breaks down to "my view and evidence for evolution" or "my view or evidence for creation"

It's all one topic.

I was taught as a child that it is impolite to refer to a lady's age, but I shall have to do it in this case. According to your profile, you were already 60 in April 2015, therefore you must have been born before April 1955. Since you are not yet 61, you must have been born no earlier than May 1954. In other words, you were born between six months and 17 months after Piltdown was exposed as a fake (in November 1953).

Can you name any other fossil frauds besides Piltdown? I mean deliberate frauds, not mere mistakes such as 'Nebraska man' ('Hesperopithecus haroldcooki'). Where did you get your information about Piltdown man from?

How about this:

haeckel_embryos.jpg

Java Man, Lucy, Archaeoraptor, Peppered Moth fraud Just to name a few.

What did Haeckel get wrong? I have yet to see a creationist actually answer this question.

We can focus on any of those examples, if you like. I will warn you ahead of time, it won't turn out well for you.

Firstly, I don't think you know how spaghetti works.

Secondly, no, it's not all connected. Rick started this topic with a very narrow focus, and you're trying to take it away from there and into your conspiracy madness.

Just make your own topic. I promise, I'll join in.

Nice!

Actually, you said "do you have aannnnyyy evidence.

I guess what I take away from this is "don't prove crmurray wrong"

Are you joking? I said if you have evidence, go start your own thread and don't derail this one. Go back and read my comment then go create your own thread.

Here's the deal. The whole evolution camp is powerful. They control the education system and the scientific world. If anyone disagrees or even hints at something different or something that would cause the "theory" of evolution to stumble, it is ridiculed and the person is discredited.

If you research the history of North America and South America and put the history books you had in school away for a bit, open your mind to the possibility that they either had it wrong or covered up things that made the TOE questionable, You will start to see things in a different light.

I have looked at some pictures of giant skeletons on sights that claim they are real, fake and some sights discrediting them still have some that just say they "believe" it to be faked and some that are actually real. (The photo at the bottom is real, in Peru, huge proportions.)

alien-or-giant-skeleton-peru.jpg
.com source for that picture is not going to be more reliable than the many .edu sites that show why it is fake, not just claim it is, but show why. Additionally, what do you mean by "huge", because Homo erectus could be over 7 feet tall.

For crying out loud, it's skull sutures seem to be forced, not natural. A fossil in pieces won't be partially put together while the rest is still in the rock, it wouldn't be put into that kind of condition, the other pieces would be removed and cleaned, then cast, and the casts would be glued together. The actual fossils would either be put into storage to prevent damage or kept in a glass case by each other. No recently found fossil that valuable would receive this treatment.

People, please do not respond to posts (such as those by JacksBratt) that are not on topic. Thank you.

jack, start a new thread and we can discuss why the Egyptians drew their gods larger than humans and why Lucy was not a fraud, etc. Rick would like us to stick to the O.P. topic.

How about you either getting back on topic or start your own thread on the rubbish you keep spamming this thread with.

I apologise. I shouldn't have gone off-topic in the first place with the discussion of Piltdown man.

And that has what to do with circular reasoning with respect to index fossils?

It speaks to the illogical nature of the suggestions against the science, which includes the suggestion that dating fossils is done by circular reasoning.
