I posted this in the singles forum but I also wanted to give everyone here a chance to answer as well.


Okay, I am writing something about this and I am in need of a wide variety of answers. So with saying that, please see below.



1. What is your own personal definition of church?


2. Do you attend church regularly?

-If so, how involved are you? And what type of church is it?

-If you do not attend church, why is that?





I thought I would have more questions then this... I might come back and post more. So please keep a look out for that.

1. What is your own personal definition of church?

The Church is the body of believers. A church (not capitalized) is a building in which the Church meets.

2. Do you attend church regularly?

yes

-If so, how involved are you? And what type of church is it?

I am very involved, as I am one of the pastors!! But even before I became a pastor, I was very involved. Church is what you make of it. I've found the more someone is involved in their church, the more satisfied they are with it. Most dissatisfied church-goers are not very involved.

I attend a Church of God, a Pentecostal church.

The Church is the congregation of saints, in which the Gospel is rightly taught and the Sacraments are rightly administered.


2. Do you attend church regularly?

Yes.

-If so, how involved are you?

Not very right now because the wife and I have both had to change churchs and then we had to start going to a different church because we had difficulty getting up for the prior church's services. Especially during the summer.

And what type of church is it?

Confessional Lutheran (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod)

Evangelical, catholic, apostolic, litergical and sacramental.

1. What is your own personal definition of church?

Where two or more are gathered. Mostly, though, church for me is the building I go to for fellowship, worship, and spiritual growth.

2. Do you attend church regularly?

I haven't as regularly as I would like to for the last couple of years. I have been looking for a new church home and it has been difficult. Currently, though, I am really liking the church I have visited the last couple of Sundays and am looking forward to the next few Sundays to see if that like continues to grow.

-If so, how involved are you? And what type of church is it?

I'm not very involved at the moment, but have been very involved in the past. I was on staff at my church back home. I have taught SS, Children's Church, led a women's Bible study, belonged to a small group, decorated tables for the annual ladies' tea, directed VBS twice, sat on the Education committee, sat on the Women's group executive committee...shall I go on?

I would like to get involved again once I settle into a church home. But, I doubt it will be to that level due to other demands on my time.

I am currently attending a Presbyterian church.

-If you do not attend church, why is that?
