  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

OH HO, HO, HO!

We have to have Santa with reindeer and snow,
and Frosty and Jingle Bells, houses aglow
with the "Magic" of Christmas. It may not make sense,
but although these things that we do make us tense,
we have an excuse to share with each other
those softer emotions so often we smother
like love, peace, and joy, and memories dear.
So, we gather in families spreading the cheer
with tradition and tinsel and tales of the season,
while knowing in all this that the real reason
began with a baby boy born in a stable
when Heaven reached down to us. So, He was able
to share in our laughter and weep with our pain,
to celebrate life, to make simple and plain
the dimensions of Love and the wideness of Grace
expressed in the smile of that one Baby's face.

He believed in celebrating. His first miracle was to keep the party going
at a wedding! Do you think He might even enjoy some of the crazy ways we celebrate His birthday ?
