Well I wouldn't have asked for it but my mom brought me home a Iowa Hawkeye watch from Iowa as a present.

Really I just want a new pair of tennis shoes and some sweaters. Maybe some new dress socks.

If you ask my mom I'm the hardest person in the world to buy for because I don't really think about what I want. And really I have a hard time thinking about it because I've just sort of learned to be happy with what I have. Thats not to say I wouldn't enjoy the stuff, its just that I don't look at something and think I want it unless I can buy it.

But I love my new watch!

Yeah I'm the same exact way. It's really tough for me to ask for things. I'm very content with what I have.

I don't know. I'm not really thinking about actual objects this year. What means more to me is getting that engineering job hopefully soon, and the other thing is rebuilding my spirituality to the same state it was in three years ago before it started falling apart in the recent two years. What I had three years ago was a very happy Christian life. I felt close to Jesus almost all the time. I was in love with how my life was going and I had passionate motivation. The search to have this feeling again is continuing and I am making active efforts, and things are in the early stages of coming back together. To get the happiness I had three years ago, I know for certain it will mean more than CDs, DVDs, clothing and anything else that's boxed and wrapped and laying underneath a tree for just one night.

I need a couple things for school and my new career (hopefully), that aren't exactly in my budget at the moment.

I have everything I need and I am very content. I have been truly blessed.

Besides that usual desire for new clothes, I am really not wanting for anything either!

i am not even sure what I want..I haven't really thought about it. I've been too busy thinking of what to get other people for Christmas that I haven't thought what I wanted myself..haha

I don't think about Christmas til about a week before.

I seriously dislike this pre-Christmas seasons for the following reasons.

1. We spend a month to a month in a half preparing for a one day holiday.

2. Its become to most more to do with capitalism and money then the birth of Christ.

3. Its not nearly as important as easter but yet we go nuts about it. What do we do for easter? For those of us who think Easter deserves at least as much celibration and preparation as Christmas (If not more) there is Lent. Thank God for that!

4. Black Friday, Jesus must weap every black friday. I want to weap every black friday.

I'm thankful for my family, and for God, and for my life etc etc. Now lets go out get into fights and trample over people to buy crap in the name of JESUS!

5. Advent??? Are we forgetting about Advent?!! You talk about Advent and people have no freaking clue what you are talking about.

Really up until about a week, maybe 2 before Christmas I'm an utter scrooge about it. And I'm definatly that way on black friday.

Anyways thats me being ornery again.

Its between the commercializing of it and overrating the Holiday it just strikes me the wrong way. Listen to me I'm already ranting about Christmas ugh.

This whole idea of commercialization at Christmas, I believe, has really masked its true meaning of the birth of Jesus, and it makes me sad sometimes.

In recent years, seeing family and friends (whenever I have the chance) on Christmas day takes away the heartache I often feel during the holidays.

I just wish there could be more open doors and special church groups out there for the people who don't have family and friends or at least can't visit them because they are too far away. Being alone on Christmas is so hard and perhaps even devastating, and I don't believe people should be mandated to be in this position. (unless they want to, but I can't see how that desire can be too frequent) I can't help but feel like seeing people like that, because I know how extreme loneliness feels. I cuts like a million knives.

I wish I could see my aunts and uncles and cousins that I haven't seen for a while. The ones on my father's side I haven't seen in a couple of years. I'd like a digital camera and some movie dvds. A Snow White and Ariel doll for my doll collection would be nice, maybe some more jewelry. That's about it.
