I have wondered about this for some time. I personally do not have any major addictions I can think of besides caffiene.

But ...what about others around us who stugglle? I have known sex addicts, alcoholics, drug addicts etc and those results from the addictions cause sin.... I feel for them and their struggle as I watch them in their addiction .

I don't ascribe to the "oh if a person is not instantly healed from addiction they are not saved."

We still fall into sin from time to time as Christians.

But does the Bible say anything about addictions and or sickness???

Please share your thoughts.

Yes.

A lot is written about this,
but not well known generally,
and basically not promoted much if at all most places because so few are interested.

Good to know, shocked few are interested since many seem to be addicted at least in my experience.

Oh, of course, many are sick, many are addicted, even to mortran, (pain relievers), mind altering synthetics prescribed to them by licensed ones, and perhaps dozens of others legal and illegal.

WHAT they want though, doesn't include Scripture nor Yahweh's Ways.
Some do, but not enough to make a difference.
Some find out WHAT TO DO, but not many.

Please don't knock the coffee as It would be a sin to speak evil of it :D

But what about helpless souls who surrender to Jesus and they keep falling into an addiction. It seems people can't control this? More than just a normal sin pattern...

Who is it that heals people ?

Can you find anyplace(publicly known) in the USA that agrees ? ......

Even among men, who was most successful , which clinics were most successful, in the last hundred years ? Any way to find out ?

In Scripture, from Genesis through Malachi, and Matthew through Revelation are many many 'examples' from God Who Knows All Things
both "successful" and "unsuccessful" experiences - people healed/ saved, and people killed/ lost.

In the USA , and other countries, there have been both successful and unsuccessful enterprises.
Some perhaps were too successful, - they got overwhelmed with patients and shut down...or had to LIMIT the number of patients greatly, and took months or years to get to see.
Most people rarely keep looking for what they need long enough to find it.
This perhaps is the key - as God Says seek and keep seeking, and you will find,
along with trust God , not man/men/man's ways. Trust God and rely on Him always , even when things look hopeless. (same as all through Scripture).

It is His Promises to rely on, not man's ways. God's Word, He is Faithful to Fulfill.

My experience is that sin tends to be addictive, and the Lord did tell us not to sin.
