That depends if you are a Mormon or not. Mormon's believe they are Christians, but Christians believe Mormons worship false gods. Since I read and believed in the Bible while growing up, I considered myself a Christian.

Did you ask Jesus to come into your life and forgive you of your sins? The heart of the Christian belief is that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he came and died for our sins, being the payment for our sins, so that we would have eternal life through his sacrifice.

I'm not very familiar with Mormonism, so I can't compare the two.

That is exactly what Mormons believe. There is a segment dedicated to remembering his sacrifice every worship session.

Ok. Well, like I said, I'm not familiar with Mormonism, meaning that there may be things beyond just remembering His sacrifice. Some religions then stray away from that by requiring things that have nothing to do with that. SDA church requires meeting on Saturday, only eating certain foods, etc. Jehovah's Witnesses call themselves Christian but deny Jesus was the Son of God (I think), and I think (not exactly sure) that Mormons require people to go out and do certain things. I've seen them in the white shirts going door to door. The point I guess I'm trying to make is that some denominations start out on the right foot, but then have rules and requirements that take away from what Christ did for us, and instead focuses on us and what we do.
