Christians Should Rejoice Over Dobbs by Carl R. Trueman. 7/7/22. FIRST THINGS.

The Dobbs decision has revealed fault lines in American Christianity. These fault lines lay just below the surface for a long while, but are now clearly exposed. As long as abortion was legal by Supreme Court decree, it was possible to identify as pro-life but keep that commitment at the level of theory; one could hold pro-life views but not be perceived as a threat. All that has now changed. To identify as pro-life post-Dobbs is not simply to hold an opinion many regard as wrong; it is to be part of an act of political and social “oppression.” And predictably, many Christians are feeling the need to “nuance” their relationship to the overturning of Roe.

What say you?

They caught the car and those not lost in zealotry at being loosed to have the awful laws they want passed or elation over the ruling without thinking past getting what they wanted are realizing there is no plan for what now that does not go over like a lead balloon. Hate it for you, have fun on the road to decree 770, this is what you wanted.

Would be slightly less hypocritical nonsense if there was some evidence of the same Christians mourning over born lives that are lost.

U.S. Abortion Rate Continues to Decline, Hits Historic Low

"Improved contraceptive use in recent years has led to a decline in the U.S. unintended pregnancy rate, suggesting that women are increasingly able to plan their pregnancies and therefore have a decreased need for abortions."

I don't know if people knew that rates of abortion were already declining.

Maybe we can turn that trend around by outlawing contraceptives and defunding non-abstinence sex education.

It's all lost in semantics.

Rejoice! For now they get to be born, so they can sin and go to hell.
And they would except for the saving Blood of Jesus Christ:
Romans 3:22-24

New International Version

22 This righteousness is given through faith ina]">[a] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

You might want to study a little more.....

Care to summarize that hour long video?
The panel give their views on the challenges and opportunities for a consistent life ethic after Dobbs. Respecting human dignity, respecting life has far reaching implications beyond the legality of abortion. Their views are rather complex but I think worth hearing, maybe while multitasking I would rather see a transcript than sit there and listen. I am looking for one.
