I agree he is not trustworthy. I think you're putting plenty of emphasis on his words but not enough on his actions. He and his buddies did everything they could to avoid conceding to his loss in 2020. If you had asked me two weeks ago if it seems Trump would like to be President indefinitely, I would've said, "I bet he would." As I mentioned, he admires authoritarian rulers. For him, they're winners because they stay on top.

Trump loves authoritarian leaders, and I have no doubt he would also love to be one. Is it also the case that Trump says nonsense and stupid things? Yes, it is. Maybe that's the case here, too. But we mustn't forget that, generally speaking, even those who lie and those who speak nonsense also speak the truth sometimes.
