I have heard as many as 10% of Gaza is made up of Christians. But then I googled the question and it said there were a total of only 1,000 Christians in all of Gaza - out of 2.2 million people. Anybody have any insight which view is closer to the truth?

According to Aljazeera, in 2007, when Hamas first took over there were around 3000 Christians but as of this year that number has dwindled to around 1000. It is of note that they are also one of the oldest Christian conclaves in the world, dating back to the 1st century. The vast majority of the Christians in Gaza are Greek Orthodox.
