I never denied that atheists can be rude and condescending, but just disagreeing with you...That's not insulting you. I don't know the atheist manifesto so why even bring that up? You and I have disagreed on many things and I never once insulted you. This has nothing to do with political correctness. I have defended atheists, Muslims, and Christians on this board, I see someone blatantly insulting another for no reason I'll step in for a bit. But I can see this is futile. Well it's generally the Christians who opposed those advances in civil rights and Jesus can be legitimately scary. I know plenty of Christians in real life (actually, most of the persons I have to do with are Christians) and none of them instrumentalizes the defense mechanisms you are using here.
Thus, the generalization you are attempting to blame on those who criticize your personal conduct, is your own making.

You seem to have the wrong end of the bible Ruthie, you claim that everyone is doing you wrong when they say something mean to you but your bible says we are evil (sinners) and that your god is going to kill us one day (either literally or figuratively).

When I wrote this I couldn't stop laughing for several minutes. My best friend and I write sarcastic jokes on each others page and it's like a contest to see who can get people to laugh the most with our lines, ideas, and jabs at the absurd. Occasionally I can top her, but she has this uncanny gift to get people to bust up and she's more sarcastic and cutting than me.

People need to take themselves less seriously and learn when to lighten up.
