Dear enitsyrk. Christianity is much more than a Religion, it is also a loving relationship between God our Heavenly Father, and us, men and women. God made us in His image, we alone in this Universe can think and reason. We know the difference between GOOD, and NOT GOOD. God gave us 10 Commandments, and Jesus gave us 2 Commandments, they contain all what God told us in His 10 Commandments. When Jesus lived on Earth, He was asked by a Lawyer: " Master what is the most important Law? " Jesus told him: " Love God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind, of second importance is: love your neighbour as you love yourself. On these 2 Commandments hang all the Law, and all the Prophets." Therefore, Christianity is to LOVE, to love God first and love others as you love yourself. The love Jesus is describing is pure, and selfless, without any strings attached. It sounds simple and easy to remember, enitsyrk, and it is, once you/we start to treat all we know and all we meet, as we like to be treated, with kindness, forgiveness, consideration, no envy, or malice, or fault-finding. Once we start this seriously, Jesus will give us His Love, His Joy and His Peace, to share with each other. We may often stumble or fall, but God will forgive us every time we ask humbly and with a sincere heart. We have years to become better and better, and we will have God`s Blessings and approval. The Bible, God`s Word to Man, will tell us in 1) Corinthians, chapter 13, verses 4 - 8, what love is. And as to love God, how can we not love God? Without God, what is there?? I say this humbly and with love. Greetings from Emmy, sister in Christ.
