[qs]....given the fact that the proposition, "God created the universe", is a completely unprovable proposition within the realm of science.....[/qs]
You neglected to mention that ANY theory is completely unprovable. The question is, as always, what best fits the facts that we DO have.
It does seem as everyone but the creationists knows that one does not prove a theory. over and over..."but evolution is Just a Theory!"
or, "you cant prove evolution." or the endless permutations.
Good that you got it; no need really for you to try to tell people on the science side about it tho.
And yes, the q or problem is to find a theory that best fits the facts,
That is why of the worlds literate population, only a Christian cult finds the facts point to a miraculous god; but of course they do that by reasoning backwards, ala red queen "first the verdict, then the trial".
Even that is not enough; it is necessary also to ignore or distort, and misrepresent the facts and data, ad hom all the scientists (deluded minions of the devil, naturalistic materialist, atheistic assumptions etc) and of course, there is always lies and fraud to fall back on. (see Paluxy man tracks, among others)
But really, it all sums in one simple concept, that the theocreos seem to avoid dealing with, which is.... there is no data that supports creationism.
There is no relevant data that does not support the ToE.
IF someone has a data point for creationism they really should bring it out.
