Barb, Post #60 should be able to help you with that. :)
The point is that site supporters are not supposed to see ads at all.

Has Lee found a new way to increase his profit?

There is apparently an issue that needs fixing, please give the staff time to take care of it. We know that SS are seeing ads and trust me when I say staff has been made aware. ^_^

LeeD did mention in the OP that it'd take time for techs to straighten it all out so please be patient. :)

I didn't mind what the site was called, so I'm glad it's been changed back for those who cared.

Now perhaps something other than the brandname can be addressed, like the return to secrecy only barely modified by semi-open reports (you can now defend yourself - sorta)?

On ads: how are you going to decide what ads go? If one person objects?

Example: there are three ads for Christian dating services on my control board. I am married, so they get no clicks from me. But I also object to such ads, as many such services are not trustworthy (putting 'Christian' in your business title does not make you honest) and many unfortunate people have had very bad experiences through using such agencies.

Example: Prayer beads for Protestants: what? Surely some protestants will find this a bit off-putting. In fact, jewelry ads are prominent on the forum pages, and I know some congregations object to the wearing of jewelry.

what purges there buddy? why concerned??

The ones where anyone who doesn't believe the "right" things are firmly asked to either be quiet or (with "regret") asked to try not to let the door hit them on the way out. :sigh:

I would like to say hi to LeeD. I cannot begin to imagine the world of the forum...all that is entailed to keep it running. But I have enjoyed being able to be a part of it, so thank you to Erwin for all his hard work. I have learned more then I ever thought I would posting, conversing, agreeing, disagreeing, sharing, praying with others, and making new forum friends I would have otherwise never met. It is an interesting, fun, and unique place of witnessing and fellowship....

and thank you
pyx for the threads that you shared.

I never saw anyone (at least on staff) ask someone to leave before 777, since then I have seen it frequently.

you know I was posting and reading away merrily and I don't know what drew my attention to it but I noticed someones homepage link and had to do a double take. Had to work out what I'd missed if I'd missed anything.

I was getting used to the 'new' name but hey what ever this place is called doesn't bother me too much now. I still enjoyed coming here even after all the changes cos most of the people were still the same.

Keep up the good work guys!
