What if others don't have the same "rules" about them as you do...?

They all have very pagan roots BTW, or at least almost all of them anyway...

But if you truly and fully know your freedom in Christ, you shouldn't have to worry about it or any of them, etc...

Was more my point, etc...

And is also a point, that can be applied to a lot of other things also, etc...

God Bless!
This is also why I said you, or me, or one, can go "too far" to where everything is now demonic or Satanic, to where they/you/me now has absolutely no freedom at all whatsoever, etc, and that is not a place where we are supposed to go to and/or at, or end up being, etc...

You should look into just how many, even just words in our everyday language even, is pagan or is derived from pagan words/roots that use to mean something else entirely different, etc...

"Cereal" was one I can recall of the top of my head, and it was so long ago that I can't remember hardly any of the others, but there were "a lot", and I mean "a lot", etc...

Point being, we would have absolutely no freedom at all if we were try and eliminate anything and everything that was all at one time tied to something that used to be quote/unquote "pagan", etc...

And that's not the freedom we are supposed to have in Christ either, etc...

God Bless!

I didn't call them witches. I called them magicians. :)

But the subject is witchcraft.

Absolutely. Divide and conquer is his game.

[Mat 10:34-36 NKJV] 34 "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. 35 "For I have come to 'set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law'; 36 "and 'a man's enemies will be those of his [own] household.'

[Mat 13:39 NKJV] 39 ...the reapers are the angels.

There are two sides to that coin, granted, division would not occur without the influences of evil.

I don't expect them to share my beliefs or perspectives. Sanctification is individual. What's acceptable for me may be less so for the next and the reverse is true.

I operate under covering. If it isn't anointed and I haven't been instructed to step in I don't get involved. There are places I don't belong. He's fashioned another for the task.

Everyone can't handle everything. It's unwise to believe you can. He knows what we can take more than we do.

It's actually this viewpoint that lead me away from Christianity in order to prove my view points I wanted to find a demon so I got into the occult and everything and instead I learned the beauty of a wide variety of beliefs and ended up deconverting from all of them.

But the subject is witchcraft.

Ceremonial magic is witchcraft. Just because they use a different moniker doesn't alter the root. All false teachings come from satan. He's their master.

There are two sides to that coin, granted, division would not occur without the influences of evil.

That's what we're touching on in the OP. What's influencing the shift? You included important points as have others.

Yes, you/us/me/we are always supposed to let our conscience/Spirit be our guide, etc... But one of my other points was that if you/me/we all each fully knew our full and total and complete freedom in Christ, then our conscience shouldn't ever bother us about any of these things at all, etc...

Not that you go out and do things or purposely partake of things/in things where it is quite literally a literal requirement to worship false deities or other gods, or do something that is clearly just pure plain evil, but that the freedom we have in Christ fully knows the difference, etc, and just does not ever do it or that, etc, and/or it is not at all ever about that for them in their hearts, etc...

For we know that those other things, or those other gods, are really no gods/things and are not really any gods/things at all, like Paul also said, etc...

Not a single one of them is outside or can ever go beyond the Sovereign will of the true God ever, etc...

So they are no gods at all, etc...

God Bless!

I don't decide what I can handle. God does. If that's your benchmark you'll avoid a lot of trouble. But we aren't asking Him what's acceptable. We're making human assignments. That's why we're led astray.

It doesn't matter what someone says or does. If you're checking with the Holy Spirit you'll have the 411. But if you're relying on flesh you may be wrong. You have the greatest Compass inside of you. It works if you use it.

See post #46...

Our conscience/Spirit/H.S. should always be our guide, etc...

It never crossed my mind I wasn't free. I don't have the should's and guilt warring against the truth. Freedom never enters my thoughts nor do I use the term. Its a given.

Maybe my deliverance plays a part.

[Gen 44:15 NKJV] 15 And Joseph said to them, "What deed [is] this you have done? Did you not know that such a man as I can certainly practice divination?"

I don't think you understand.

Good, I am glad, but if you ever get into a sticky spot or subject, just remember that everyone is different, and that's perfectly fine and OK, and let you conscience/Spirit/H.S. be your guide, OK...

Glad we are on the same page as well...

God Bless!

I'm called to the lost. There are moments when it's necessary to speak the truth or address deception. I rely on the Holy Spirit's guidance for timing. Love is foremost and that's my approach to ministry. While we differ, it isn't an impediment to love and kindness. :)

[Jhn 6:54 NKJV] 54 "Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

[Jhn 15:5 NKJV] 5 "I am the vine, you [are] the branches. ...

I am not identical with Jesus, the vine, but I have partaken of His life, and besides that, something very strange here happened a few days ago.

They taught me that my held presumptions were wrong. I've always loved the unknown and I felt shackled by my beliefs. I was shackled by my narrow views on good and evil, I was shackled by my belief that required me to reject science. I was shackled by a spirituality that was never mine to begin with when I deconvertrd I finally felt free. Terrified but free.
People like me do get into the occult for power and control but the reason people leave it? It's because it dosn't give you either of those things study of it only gives you knowledge.

I understand all of that. Disenfranchisement was the primary reason I walked away. I was looking for something authentic and couldn't find it. It didn't exist elsewhere either.

I was agnostic and nearing atheism. The turning point wasn't a tradition or hidden message. It was love and a lot of time. The message is simple. The bloat is man's doing.

These days I live the questions. Why do I feel this way? What am I doing and what is serving? Things along lines. I probably wouldn't do that if I remained where I was. I'd be more accepting and less discriminating. It served a purpose.
