Umm, actually, you are in one now! Maybe this forum can grow into the role?
We tried to start one at media4God.com and e4God.com but could not raise enough interest.
We wanted it to be a search and share site. Some webmasters would give images or code or advice, and others could search and download it... etc...
What we found was that webmasters, even christian webmasters, or especially christian webmasters, seem to want to take, but not to give. Weird. Our effort along these lines flopped because we did not create a lot of downloadable content. We were trying to create the playground, and a sharing library, but nobody came... We could not promote the site in usual web manner of cross promotion among similar sites because christian sites, like churches, are very protective of their flocks.
So we converted to a free forums and free blogs program, while offering low cost hosting and web services to christian webmasters. (At least for now - we are waiting tp see what God wants to do with it)
In the secular sites, there is no protective instinct toward "our flock" and loads of cross promotion with similar sites... Then there is a load of sharing, donating of scripts, code, images, etc... but not on christian webmaster sites. Wonder why ? ? ?
