I have no desire to comment on this thread. I wanted to make you aware of your broad generalizations and how they help in no way.

Only you and God know your heart. Your words on Jesus Christ tell me your heart is hardened.

I have no desire to comment on this thread. I wanted to make you aware of your broad generalizations and how they help in no way.

That is based merely on observing hundreds of Christians on this site, as well as millions in the media.

When the topic is something like gay marriage, I see a lot of Christians bring up the fact that this is a "Christian nation" or point out how the founding fathers were Christian and believed in God (which man of them were deist anyway), and how we need to keep our roots. Many also point out how our morals are decaying, but for some reason can never provide a time period when morals were better.

But then when the topic is switched, and it's about how America is consumeristic or how we focus so much on military strength or how we enslaved blacks for so long, suddenly I see a lot of Christians posting about how Christians are persecuted and must not be attached to the world, and how evil our society is.

This does not mean all Christians do it, but merely a trend I noticed among the thousands of Christian posts I've seen. Using an argument when it is helpful and switching it when it is unhelpful is not a tactic that only Christians use, but this is a specific common one I see among Christians.
