  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't see anything wrong in their answer. I think it's stupid we have to label things "Christian" in the first place. Christian rock? It's just rock... these just happen to have Christian lyrics. But if you took away the lyrics it'd still be rock. You wouldn't be able to tell if it was Christian or not. Christian is not a genre... just a label for those who ONLY want to hear Christian lyrics. I think it's very limiting for a band to say "we're a Christian band"... if they put out a song that has nothing to with God, everyone goes ape nuts... better to just be a rock band and put out honest work and if they're Christians, it'll show in their music.

They're Christians in a band. The end.

And I don't even like Flyleaf... but the label thing is just stupid.
I agree, i think they can reach to non-christians in a better way too, because many non-christians may see ''christian rock'' and then think like:''nah, thats not for me''..
But now its a better chance for not only christians but all people to get the message they are playing in theyre music, i think thats really great
