• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

i wasn't aware kissing was considered sexually impure. is that an across the board belief or a personal one? i am not criticizing you or what you said at all, (i am pointing that out since this is the internet so you can't hear my "tone", and i don't want to step on any toes :) ). i thought that as long as that was innocent, not, well, you know [insert hand puppet motions here], it was considered okay.

Yeah I understand lol :p

Personally, I get convicted if I were to kiss someone or even play with the thought in my head. But in a more thought out sense, kissing is apart of romance and romance is for married people. Also, you can cause not only yourself but your brother to stumble by kissing because it could lead to some dangerous, sensual, impure things.

We are also called to "Flee youthful lust" and that's a dangerous situation.

I love that song in your signature. It's my favourite song by Red :3

I think that is more of a personal conviction. The Scriptures say, "Greet one another with an holy kiss" (2 Corinthians 13:12).

In some cultures (some of which my family grew up in [European]), they kiss each other on the forehead or cheek and mean nothing by it. Men and men, women and women, it doesn't matter. And it's not homosexuality or impurity because it's just what they do. It's kinda hard to explain, but that's just their culture.

Still, the word purity in the Bible is a hard one. We should be strongly convicted by that word. I would suggest a study to anyone on here on the word purity and how it is used in the Bible.

As in kiss, I was referring more to a french kiss not like a greeting kiss lol. The people in the church I started to attend kiss both cheeks as a greeting.

Oh and I'm glad you posted that Paul Washer video, Paul Washer is my favourite preacher! :D

Paul Washer is definitely my favorite too. I find him very biblical especially when it comes to Christian courtships and God's sovereignty.
