CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Mase brought out a few tracks on "Welcome Back" that have Christian lyrics:

All in all, the Christian theme is throughout the CD.
There is almost no swearing. There is no hatred towards women (Mase makes it clear on this album that he doesn't get drunk, do drugs, sleep around: "You don't have to take the, clothes off, to have a good time..." ")
Also, check out Kanye West's "Jesus Walks". For the record, 50 Cent spits: "Lord forgive me, for i've sinned, over and over again, just to stay on top...I recall memories, filled with sin, over and over again..." & "Lord I don't cry no more, don't look to the sky no more, have mercy on me, have mercy on my soul, somewhere my heart turned cold, have mercy on many men..."
I could go through the history of rap and pull out all the Christian lyrics in there, but it's not worth it. Pure and simple, you haters are uneducated.
Now onto comments about Mase:
Mase has not tried to spit scripture verbatim, as per your description. Why would he? Mase is not running from one Christian event to another, trying to cash in on the gospel. Mase is a Christian rapper. He doesn't make Christian raps. What the Cross Movement and what Mase is trying to achieve are different things and to compare them is immature.

I, myself doubt 50 Cent's willingness to actually turn away. He seems to enjoy pushing his "ganster" image. Just like DMX would say "Father forgive me" but then not live up to what he said at all.Middlemoor said:

Im listening to the Mase Album you speak of but i cant find the lyrics or the song ware you quoted thoes lyrics from. Its not a bad album...quite clean really.

Im all about christian rap but Kanye West just sickens me. I know it probably makes sense to him, get down in the gutter so you can reach people in the gutter, but thats not how it works. Your supposed to lead by example and reflect Christ to others. I think if the guy sat down and actually read the gospels he might get a smack in the face and realize he is giving christianity a bad name by his actions.
