Christian Painting Artist...I need help!!!!!!

My brother has the gift of painting, no matter if its oil, acrylic, or water color he is great. My brother is 18 years old and has been dealing with a lot of personal issues about his place in this world. God has laid it on my heart to help my brother by selling his paintings. I just need any help about how I can get reprints, maybe where is good and just any other support you could give. My brother has a great gift and it would be my fault if I let it go un-noticed. Thank you!

You know this is just a thought, but you could smaller reprints done and sell them as greeting cards...a lot of people I know do this....just a thought. Good luck.

I'm starting a business with a friend, who found a printer who prints reprints of artwork on canvas, using a giclee printer... it's just like a big inkjet, but uses archival inks, and the canvas comes from Europe... while the art is a reprint, being printed on canvas makes it very authentic... it would be worth looking into this, as a 1 metre X 1 metre reprint costs some AUD$300 to print and stretch, and sells for AUD$900 - AUD$1200 - we're doing it with photographs, instead, but there is a high demand for canvas artwork these days, at least here in Australia...

If your artwork is good, a good printer will be happy to work with you, as they know the product will sell!

It depends a lot on the type of art he does. Not all art is suitable for all markets. Perhaps reading The Artists Market book will give you an idea of which market to look at. This book is published annually.

Can the paintings be sold on E bay? It sounds as though he is a very gifted young man!

Check out your local graphics studio, the ones that do t-shirts, signs, etc. They usually have the availability to do photo lithos up to a fairly large size. One of the studios in my town can handle up to 4' square. You could also check with professional photo studios and printing houses. They may not have the tools themselves, but they are versed in the media and technics, and are usually willing to share.
