hi guys,

I am a student nurse and I haven´t had my first practicum in a hospital yet. But I try to prepare myself mentally. There will be a lot of pain, tears and suffering and I am going to try to (I hope I will) lead as many souls as I can to our heavenly Father.
Now I keep thinking of what I would answer people asking me why they have to suffer for weeks/months or even years and why the Lord doesn´t just take them home... you knoe, questions like that. What could I tell these people as a christian nurse?
Has anybody got advice or even experience with this kind of things?
I´d be greatful!

Dear FlyingDolphin

I would have to say that the LORD MUST have something left for them to do. They need to pray and ask the LORD what it might be.

As you get older you will find we are all in the same boat. Saint Paul wanted the LORD to take him out of this world. But he said that until the LORD does he will continue to do HIS WILL.

Who wants hot dogs when we could have prime rib???

ALWAYS REMEMBER:

“ Believe “ in Greek is a verb and has three components which are: hearing, accepting, and then acting ( COMMITING ) upon that which you have accepted.
X Even though you can't see him, GOD is there!!! O ( click on the x and drag to the O ) ( then see who is with you ) steven

Well, we live in a fallen world. Though, we are Christians, we are still subject to the things in this world. The Lord, will see us through, but that doesnt mean we will not have pain & suffering.

I believe that things happen to people for many reasons, but mainly:

The desicions they make. Every decision we make has a good & bad out come at some point. When we make bad desicions, bad things could happen.

As Christians, Satan attacks us. The enemy is fiercly attacking us, trying to get us away from the Lord. The Lord allows his attacks as tests of Faith & to strengthen us in that Faith & in the Lord.

Jesus said: "I this world you will have tribulation, but take heart I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)

I pray the Lord will bless you in all you do & to lead you with the words that will need to be said to reach the lost & to help those who are in times of trouble. God Bless.

I have to be honest with you. In the 12 years I've provided patient care, only a couple of people have asked me why God let something bad happen to them or why God lets them suffer. I would recommend that you read the book When Bad Things Happen to Good People by Harold Kushner, if you can. It might help.
