Christian music in videogames?

I saw this post in another forum website and wondered what you guys thought?

Hey everyone, whether you play videogames or not, check this out if you're a Christian! We need to give these people at Konami something to see... They're not gonna give any attention to the Christian market unless we give them a reason to, and I for one would love to see someone like Rebecca St. James on some of their projects!

Here's the long and the short of it. Karaoke Revolution is a videogame series that's basically high-end karaoke for people who REALLY like to sing, and I mean *REALLY* like to sing. The title is available on PlayStation2. While you sing and it shows the staff and such, it also points an arrow to where your voice is on the staff, so you know if you're sharp or flat and such, WHILE you're singing... Anyway, the first Karaoke Revolution game features all secular music... Sixpence None The Richer, Simple Plan, Cher, Michael Jackson, Avril Lavigne, Jennifer Lopez, Michael Bolton, and others. A pretty good mixture of the latest stuff. They're releasing other versions of the game for different genres now as well, most of them being different collections of J-Pop (Japanese Pop), but also love songs and ballads, etc.

Anyway, if enough requests come in and they know they can make some money on it, they'd most likely make a Christian one as well. So, how can you help? Go to www.konami.com/karaokerevolution/official/flash/index.html, then click the "Request A Song" link to get a form for requesting a song. You DO have to fill it out separately for each individual song you request, but it only takes maybe 10 seconds to fill out, if even that long. Now you can start requesting a bunch of Christian songs.

why did i think sixpence none the richer were a christian band? i've never acutalyl heard them...but just thought that

i don't think it means that those bands above are christians, for e.g Michael Jackson was listed lol. I mean, i don't even know if sixpence non the richer are christian or not?

The guys in Audio Adrenaline and Relient K played that game during the Winterjam tour this year,

..we began to play with their other brand new toy. A new kareoke game for PS2. You get a headset mic, and you have to sing a bunch of popular songs for judges. About 10 of us played until 5am. It was amazing. I fared well singing Avril and Simple Plan songs, but I failed myself with Pat Benetar's "Hit Me With Your Best Shot". Mark Stewart, the LEAD singer for AA, got booed off the stage singing Hewey Lewis' "Power of Love"

i wasn't sure. i've seen some of their albums in Wesley Owen (Christian book/music store) but i can't say that i remember any of their stuff lol? but never mind lol!

Sixpence None The Richer is a Christian band, but I believe they're signed to a non-Christian-based music label. So to some people I've known, they'd say that they aren't, the same way that they'd say MxPx isn't (even though MxPx, P.O.D., Amy Grant and other artists/bands like that are sold at Christian bookstores like Bereans). Also interestingly enough, many Christian bookstores refused to sell Sixpence's albums a few years ago when they found out that the band was touring with the Barenaked Ladies, just because of the name.

Andy Hunter & MxPx have tracks on SSX3, while Andy Hunter's track 'Go', was on the Matrix video game.
