I saw this post in another forum website and wondered what you guys thought?
Hey everyone, whether you play videogames or not, check this out if you're a Christian! We need to give these people at Konami something to see... They're not gonna give any attention to the Christian market unless we give them a reason to, and I for one would love to see someone like Rebecca St. James on some of their projects!
Here's the long and the short of it. Karaoke Revolution is a videogame series that's basically high-end karaoke for people who REALLY like to sing, and I mean *REALLY* like to sing. The title is available on PlayStation2. While you sing and it shows the staff and such, it also points an arrow to where your voice is on the staff, so you know if you're sharp or flat and such, WHILE you're singing... The thing is REALLY useful. (Take a look at this screenshot to get an idea: www.konami.com/karaokerevolution/images/karaoke_screenshot_04.jpg)
Anyway, the first Karaoke Revolution game features all secular music... Sixpence None The Richer, Simple Plan, Cher, Michael Jackson, Avril Lavigne, Jennifer Lopez, Michael Bolton, and others. A pretty good mixture of the latest stuff. They're releasing other versions of the game for different genres now as well, most of them being different collections of J-Pop (Japanese Pop), but also love songs and ballads, etc.
Anyway, if enough requests come in and they know they can make some money on it, they'd most likely make a Christian one as well. So, how can you help? Go to www.konami.com/karaokerevolution/official/flash/index.html, then click the "Request A Song" link to get a form for requesting a song. You DO have to fill it out separately for each individual song you request, but it only takes maybe 10 seconds to fill out, if even that long. Now you can start requesting a bunch of Christian songs.
