Some people never learn. After Kent Hovind was publicly spanked in a discussion with Aron Ra. Held as a discussion so that Kent could not get away with his lies and errors, Hovind has now challenged Aron Ra to a debate. It is supposed to be a series of video exchanges. Here is Part I:

Where is the ad hominem? He never uses an ad hominem fallacy. Observing that someone, such as Hovind, is an idiot, is never used to show that he is wrong. It is the other way around. We observe Hoving being incredibly wrong time after time after time even after he has been corrected and draw the reasonable conclusion the he is either an idiot, that he is lying, or both. That is not an ad hominem attack.

I do wish that creationists would not abuse that term.

That is a false accusation. The sad fact is that Hovind works hard for any "insults" thrown his way.

Why would you embrace Hovind anyway? One has to be desperate to rely on a lying tax cheat like him. He cannot even follow his own Bible in matters unrelated to the theory of evolution.

When one must resort to insults, it shows one has nothing in which to defend oneself with but insults.....

That is clearly wrong. You did not watch the discussion between Aron Ra and Hovind where he kept calmly, at first, explaining Hovind's errors to him. Hovind was simply to dim to understand the explanations and then he called Aron an "idiot" when he was frustrated for constantly being shown to be a fool.

Do you remember your error with the claim of "ad hominem"? It was never claimed that Kent was wrong because he was an idiot. His errors were explained to him again and again and he still could not understand so they only conclusion was that he was an idiot.

Dude, let me tell you something about Kent Hovind.

Kent Hovind is not special. There are plenty of creationists who do what he does and do it better and are far, far more successful. Ken Ham. Kirk Cameron. Ray Comfort. His own son, Eric Hovind.

These are all creationists who do what Kent does, make many of the same arguments, reach the same people, teach the same message. Eric in particular has expanded on his father's work while he's been in prison, far more than Kent likely would've done on his own. There are whole organizations full of these people. Ken Ham made a theme park based on this stuff, for crying out loud, and the government HELPED HIM BUILD IT. There is literally nothing that Kent Hovind does that isn't done by someone else in the creationist community, better than he does it.

And none of them are getting mysteriously locked up and thrown in prison.

The idea that Kent Hovind is being locked up to keep him quiet is utterly ridiculous.
