Honestly, sometimes that "I will pray for you" line gets under my skin. When I say that, I truly pray for them, but sometimes I think people say that just to not want to deal with it. Which is fine, actually.

Thank you :hug:. Yeah I assume that when people say that (and I've used that line myself) I hope they mean it :pray:. Along these lines, I've grown up, knowing and hearing about people leaving the church because of other Christians and never understood it, until now :doh:.

Ugh, yes. Or a close second; when people do pray for you about a need that they're able to fill (time, friendship, etc), but leave it at that, and not do anything more.

This is probably the biggest one that makes me want to roll over Beethoven the most. There's not a bigger contradiction in Christendom today than this statement, IMO.

You are either a Christian or not. If you are, the Bible calls you a saint. You'll never see those two words mixed together. Ever. So stop trying to be pious or giving false humility. It's ridiculous.
