Hi, I'm on a search for other Christian elves. We are already a few gathered together with a Yahoo group (christianelfcommunity). Hmm, I can't post a URL, but you can decrypt groups:yahoo:com|christianelfcommunity. Anyway, welcome!

Please note that this is not a role-play related group. Rather it's a group for those who feel they have some elvish blood, share elven values, or who are interested in such things. If this isn't your cup of tea, then the group probably isn't for you. I only post in this forum because I thought it likely that someone here might be interested.

Of course, feel free to drop me a line personally too.

Regards,

- Erufailon.

Um, no offense, but that's just wierd. Yeah, you can be Christians but, sorry, elves DO NOT exist. Hate to break it to ya, but you are NOT an elf. You are a living breathing human, that God designed you to be for HIS glory. No elves.

Elves are purely fantasy. Nothing more. No one on earth has any elven blood in them, no mater what they think. Yeah, you can pretend. I do that all the time, but these people, from the way I understand it, believe that they are related to elves. Personally, that's wierd. No thank you. I like being human becuase that's who Jesus intended me to be, same with everyone else. I don't want to change what species I am.

You would change who God made you? You were fearfully and wonderfully made. There is NO ONE else in the entire world like you, and God loves for who you are. If God wanted you to be an elf, he would have made you one. Which goes to show that you're special. God loves you so much more than you could possibly imagine. The Bible says if you were to add up how many times he thinks of you, it would be more than every single grain of sand in the world! THAT IS ALOT! He thinks about you and loves you! He knows every hair on your head. You would change what he loves that much?

It took me quite a while to be content with who I was, but not I can finally say that I am. I love who God created. I have alot of flaw that I need help with, but overall I am happy with who I am because I know that Jesus loves me for who I am. Jesus looks past the flaws, and accepts me. He accepts you. He loves you. He sent his only Son Jesus to die for YOU, not the elf you would change yourself into, but YOU. The girl he made to live for Him. The girl he loves. The girl he made so that he could call her his daughter.

After hearing how much God loved me, I didn't want to change into an elf(like I used to). I wanted to stay ME because that's what God made. Sure, being an elf would be cool and I pretend to be one alot, but to actually WANT to be one forever, to me, doesn't satisfy. I'm happy with knowing that God loved my so much that he sent his only Son to die for me, so that I could live with him forever. I take joy in knowing that I don't have to be different from who I really am because God loves me. And if God if for me, who can be against me?

onikirimaru777 - your faq is wonderful - thank you for answering so many questions so well.

If I have offended anyone then I'm truely sorry. It is not my intention to stir up uncomfortable feelings. I can very much understand sceptical responses. I've been there.

Those who feel they are elven understand it in different ways. Some find it a conveient way to express their values, others believe more literally in elvish forebearers. I'll be honest and say I don't know exactly where I fit on that scale, and my understanding may vary. However I would say that being "elven" is far from incompatible with being a Christian.

I'm not offended, angry or upset in any way. I don't want to offend, either. This is what I believe. The fact of the matter is, no matter how much you try to be an elf and believe that you are one, you aren't. Sorry. The Bible never said "and God created elves." It SPECIFICALLY says that God created man. Elves and other fantasy creatures were created my the human mind.

Erufailon, its very hard for the rest of human society to understand the Awakened. Do not worry about such minor things. We are who we are. Its true, God did create us as unique individuals. We are all equal, but, like Erufailon and myself, our souls may be different from the rest of human society. Ponder the issue all you want, if your not one of us, then u will never understand our point of view.

Oh, and the faq on my signature isn't my words. It was created by a fellow dragon, but could apply to any otherkin soul. Just thought the need to clarify

I'm interested, but I personally don't believe I'm an elf ... in fact I'm short, skinny, have short, curly brown hair, and I can't run didly-squat, especially across snow. I'm also aware of my other human shortcomings - I'm not graceful, gentle, overly kind, gracious, alert, telepathic or beautiful. However, I think it'd be cool to be able to communicate with others who like elves or whatever. I don't think it's *wrong* at all.

And it's not that I'm unsatisfied with who I am. Well, I am, but only to the extent that I want to become more Christlike, not more elvish. Liking elves in my case has absolutely no connection to manifestations of a poor self-image. My image is pretty pitiful, I don't have to imagine it. And besides, it's fun to have light-hearted fun.

Can you tell me more?

We know arthur was real, and he allegedly fought the elven kings. I believe that dragons and unicorns were around once, since they are mentioned in the bible. And genesis mentions half angel/humans called nephlim. Could nephlim be be elves? hmm...

the nephilum were a breed of giants that were the offspring of fallen angels and the woman of the earth. The angels found the human woman attractive and decided to sin and impregnate the woman, which resulted in the nephilum. Ive also read that Goliath the giant was one of the nephilum. ((i might have gotten some of the info wrong, but it sums it up pretty good))
