I've commented on the possibility that the child is possibly more fluid. You'll not that your own quote says "sometimes".

Regardless, this still doesn't show that the parents are forcing it on the child. You'll also note that this is a quote from someone who refused to follow the directions of her employer and got fired for it.

It doesn't show that they aren't forcing it on the child either. That cuts both ways. Whether the child is more fluid or not, for a six-year-old to not be consistent on something like that isn't at all developmentally normal. It should be investigated. Hopefully, an investigation will show there is no abuse. However, to not investigate and for there to actually be abuse is a worse thing. Better safe than sorry.

At the end of the day, it should be the child's welfare and best interest that drives everything. I don't care if the parents are offended or not.

Six years old is too young to diagnose anyone with gender dysphoria. As @Patrick Bateman pointed out, seven year old boys will dress up like princesses without anyone batting an eye. Why? They're children, children go through phases, they pass with no harm done. While many transgender individuals will say they could tell from an early age, I do think that might be the case, but I also think that is a bit of hindsight biases and you also have to look at from the perspective of a six year old. It may be true you experienced it from an early age, but how is one going to know at six it isn't just a phase.

It's important in situations like these to see it through her eyes, and from this article and the one here: http://www.fox26houston.com/news/44052768-story , I do wonder if this girl has gender dysphoria and the woman claims it was a sudden change and "she would start screaming 'I'm not a boy!'". I think this is going to be an interesting story on how it plays out, because if it was really her choice and her parents are supporting her, I have a hard time understanding why should become defensive.

And no one has said that the parents ARE forcing the child.

They are, in fact, suggesting that:

Sounds like these gay parents are trying to force this little girl to be trans against her will. Post #2
The fact that 2 homosexual men would do this to a little girl is not surprising to me. Post #64
Post #112 states that the article indicates it.
Obviously with a child this young, the sin is the parents', not the child's. Post #114
The worker seems to have that opinion as well.

Not necessarily, but the criteria and treatment are certainly different. It depends on whether the child is consistent, persistent and insistent about it. This child isn't, which is why I wonder if this particular child is more fluid or trying to figure things out.

Right, if she's even that to begin with.

It's not about whether the parents are offended.

Whether it is developmentally normal is unimportant. Whether the child is figuring themself out in a healthy manner is important.

I won't start with the idea that the parents are probably forcing it and it should be investigated on that basis. I think the parents and the school should have a talk about the consistency of the child's identity and get confirmation, but without more information, I will not take the side that there are indications that it is being forced.

We have the word of a woman who refused to use the stated name and gender because she felt it was a lie to tell the other students that and an oppression of her religion.

Actually, whether something is developmentally normal is critical. Abnormal findings can indicate bad things- hence the need to investigate the cause. The cause could be benign. However, on the off chance it isn't, why take the chance of ignoring it altogether?

Read the articles, not even in the first one is there mention outside of the title of oppression of her religion.

They wont even take the presidents off the page. For me to be able to read it. Also the website seem very aimed for republicans. So I doubt we're getting to full story. Maybe the teachers got fired because they handled things wrong.

LISTEN UP! The teachers are concerned because the CHILD has at times told other children NOT to say she is a boy. The CHILD has told other children NOT to call her by the boy name that her parents said to call her.

So yeah, there is reason to believe that this CHILD is confused and MAY NOT see herself as a boy.

"Kirksey says sometimes the little girl refers to herself as a little boy, and sometimes she tells the other children to not call her a boy or to refer to her by her masculine name."

So who's mental health and wishes are important here, the CHILD'S or the parents? Someone needs to find out what this CHILD believes and needs.
Not to mentions the other children's confusion about what name to even call her.

Maybe the child could be going back and forth on the issue. But I'm not seeing why CPS was called. also I'm sure theres more to the story about the teachers being fired.

God created mankind male and female (Genesis). He didn't create them "fluid". Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord (Proverbs 12:22). Telling someone they are something they are not is a lie.
Other relevant passages of Scripture which shed light on this topic include Deuteronomy 22:5, Romans 1:25, Romans 1:21-28

A person fired from a job for refusing to lie is facing a form of religious persecution. I'm not a fan of calling CPS in, and I hesitate to use the term "abuse", but telling a girl that she's a boy, however much she wants to be told that or be that isn't doing the child any good. (I don't trust media reports just because something was published or quoted, so I'm sticking to generalities here, and not the specific case.)

If the brain is telling the body that it has a leg that's missing that's a mental/neurological disorder. If a woman's brain tells her she is a male, that's a mental neurological disorder. How you help a person with a mental disorder is not going to be easy or simple, but it shouldn't involve rejecting the truth.
If a person doesn't want to accept what God has ordered for them, and/or insists on believing a lie, that's sin.
Helping anyone to embrace God's will won't be easy or simple. Sin has affected the whole man, and we're under a curse. As a result, there's often a physical component in our temptations to sin, but we're not to give up and say, because we feel a certain way physically, there's no hope. Giving up and indulging in the body's demands will not make anyone feel better in the long run. Sin is an enslavement which leads to death (Romans 6:23). Ultimately, we need the grace and gospel of Jesus Christ to be set free from the devil's lies, our temptations to sin, and to overcome our mental and bodily urges. (John 8:32, Romans 8:13, Galatians 5:24)

Brain differences between sexes is minimum. Be careful with the neuroscientist conclusions since for all we know they could be a bunch of psychopaths.
http://www.smithsonianmag.com/scien...covered-he-was-a-psychopath-180947814/?no-ist

1. I said "evidence suggested", not that there was definitive proof.
2. Not all agree these differences are "minimum":

Source.

Scientists have discovered approximately 100 gender differences in the brain, and the importance of these differences cannot be overstated.

Some examples given.

The title mentions those are her words:

Madeline Kirksey, one of the workers who is an author of a Christian book, says her religious liberty rights have been violated.

Liberals have made a art out of lying, and so will deny the propensity (and the relatively greater damage) of homosexual child molestation. But, even when homosexuals aren't molesting children, or raising children as the opposite sex, they're failing to provide a healthy role modal to children.

I'm acknowledging this so you know I saw and I'm disregarding the contents. When you start with Liberals are liars, I lose interest. I can get my broad brushes from Home Depot.
